Audio Visual Support Technician for Onsite Client
Location: Boston, MA
Status: Full Time

Objective:
Be a valuable team member of the Service Team as an Onsite Support Technician providing technical expertise in the field of AV and customer support.

Overview of Responsibilities:
  • Supporting Onsite Client in the day-to-day operation and functionality of their audio visual systems
  • Manage AV Service Request and Incident queue’s in coordination with team
  • Participate in root-cause analysis of technical issues to assist with the resolution of trouble tickets as required
  • Documenting all service related issues during system testing and troubleshooting
  • Manage daily setups of meetings in relation to Video Conferencing, Audio Conferencing, Presentation Support & Town Hall style production events
  • Follow direction from Regional Supervisor and Account Manager for daily tasks, if needed
Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Optimize the use of videoconference and multimedia technology to accomplish business objectives cost effectively
  • Analyze user requirements and recommend meeting mode to achieve conference objectives
  • Work in a fast paced environment and handle stressful situations
  • Maintain a customer service oriented attitude
  • Receive escalated trouble tickets from Support Coordinator and respond in a timely manner
  • Respond to emergency help desk calls from client when required
  • Facilitate Video Conference meetings using a Codian Bridge
  • Conduct large town hall style meeting set-ups
  • Record special events and videoconferences as well as produce edited files to client for playback
  • Perform operational maintenance and maintain supporting records
  • Perform diagnostic testing of room systems to help identify and eliminate potential problems
  • Troubleshoot with network carriers and on site telecom contractors as required
  • Assist with system upgrades when necessary
  • Must be willing to complete background checks as required by client
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • 1-3 years prior work experience working within a client service role
  • Working experience with codec’s from Polycom, Tandberg, Cisco as well as Codian Bridging and Tandberg Management Suite (TMS) is a must
  • Working experience with audio / video devices from BiAmp, Clearone, NEC, Christie, Crestron, AMX, Haivison etc. is a plus
  • Knowledge of Digital Media systems is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) is required
  • Strong understanding of Windows Operating Systems, platforms and technologies
  • Knowledge of Final Cut Editing Software
  • InfoComm CTS Certification is a plus
