Status: Full Time

Objective:
Be a valuable member of Verrex supporting the Engineering Services and Sales Departments in the overall implementation of Verrex’s Vision, Mission, and Values, enabling Verrex to continue to grow and expand its business.

Responsibilities:
  • Engineering
    • Attend kick-off meetings and site coordination meetings.
    • Direct coordination with architects, general contractors, and electricians in both the planning and implementation phases to ensure infrastructure requirements for AV including:
      • Layout of AV equipment, furniture housing AV equipment, ventilation, table connectivity points for AV, wall construction for displays, hard points above ceilings for projectors and screens, and electrical requirements including circuiting and loads.
    • Coordinate with CAD/Project Engineers in the development of architectural AV drawings based on system requirements and working with local architects and contractors.
    • Work with clients in their review and acceptance of the touch panel Graphical User Interface (GUI) which is created by the Verrex AV Programming team.
    • Coordination with the Verrex AV Programming team to ensure successful implementation of client requested system functionality.
    • Spearhead planning and onsite coordination and implementation of facility wide systems such as IP-based AV distribution and device communication.
    • Post-installation system commissioning including:
      • Visual inspection of room, equipment, and wiring.
      • Press every button on touch panel to confirm desired action occurs.
      • Test all functions of room in every system mode.
      • Display and projector calibration.
      • Set audio gain structure and equalization for conferencing and playback.
      • General Troubleshooting.
      • Coordinate with Programming department to resolve code problems and accommodate client requests.
      • Work closely with field technician when needed to complete the installation.
      • Mentor field technicians.
      • End user training and system acceptance.
      • Creation of a punchlist per room for technician to complete.
  • Sales
    • Field calls and emails as local contact from customers to assist Sales Account Executives
    • Develop new relationships and maintain existing relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
    • Coordinate local pricing from manufactures and distributors.
    • Field and respond in timely manner to all quote requests.
    • Work with the Sales team to generate system designs, system descriptions, equipment lists, and proposals.
    • Respond in a timely manner to requests for small quotes to clients as well as assist sales department with pricing of BOM’s.
    • Provide all one off (small) quotes directly to clients.
    • Meet with clients to assess AV system needs.
    • Conduct site surveys and fully evaluate and document existing systems for potential upgrades.
    • Update and assist with company CRM entries for sales contacts and pipeline.
    • Coordinate all sales meetings with customer and Verrex sales department to include scheduling conference rooms and VC calls.
    • Be the local eyes and ears for all new opportunities and potential upgrades with existing customers.
    • Stay in touch with “strong” manufacturers for insight on new opportunities.
  • Operations / Global Managed Services (GMS)
    • Guide and mentor field engineers on system implementation at job sites.
    • Assist GMS technicians on service calls and serve as a technical escalation point.
    • Coordinate with the GMS Service Desk for all related service concerns.
  • General Responsibilities
    • Regular coordination meetings with the US-based teams including Sales, Project Engineers, Project Management, Global Managed Services, Operations, CAD, Control System Programming, Purchasing, Finance, and IT.
    • Regular travel throughout Europe and periodic travel to APAC as required.
    • Be a technical resource for other departments as required.
    • Interface with manufacturers when dealing with equipment problems.
    • Attend weekly resource meetings and monthly department meetings.
    • Attend manufacturer and industry training online and off premises.
    • Track and submit time sheets and expenses.
