Abstract: With the opening of its new corporate office in Wilton, CT, The Nielsen Company saw an opportunity to bring their brand to life in a creative and bold way inside its new corporate lobby. The global leader in media and market research, data measurement and analysis, enlisted the help of Verrex to integrate a digital signage solution that would engage employees and visitors and create a striking corporate environment.

Three Zones, One Compelling Message

The Nielsen Company corporate lobby was broken into three zones for digital signage integration: an interactive video wall in the main portion of the lobby; a row of six plasma displays in the lobby hallway; and a single LCD display close to the reception desk.

Corporate Lobby First Impressions
A 5x5 Christie MicroTile wall greets visitors in the main portion of the lobby. The video wall was strategically positioned directly opposite the elevator bays to immediately engage visitors. Verrex integrated 25 interlocking MicroTiles, flush-mounted in a wall specifically designed for this primary display. Visitors are introduced to the Nielsen brand and the company’s expertise via unique digital content, authored by Verrex content partner, Arsenal Media. Visitors can interact directly with the presentation: selecting content, answering questions and manipulating graphics. The digital signage system includes an infrared motion detection system, laser camera and interactive server.

Corporate Lobby Further along the lobby entrance, visitors are engaged by a corridor of six thin-bezel plasmas. This “Plasma Row” features additional orchestrated content. Completing the lobby signage is a single LCD in the reception area with its own series of Nielsen content.

The result of these three digital signage zones is an immersive, cohesive journey through the Nielsen brand starting the moment visitors enter the company’s facility.
